The IPSC European Pistol Championships ended on Saturday in Corinth, Greece. The competition lasted two weeks during wonderful Mediterranean weather was present most of the time, although one night there was a storm which flooded the shooting range, but the organizers coped with this problem. The competitors shot on 24 tracks total, 6 per day, which ensured comfortable competition conditions and prevented them from getting tired and making mistakes.
About 20 Polish competitors took part in the competition. The large Polish team returned home with many medals.
Bartosz Szczęsny won the gold medal and became the European Champion in the Classic category.
Dawid Chojnowski became the Junior European Champion in the Open category.
Marcin Tausiewicz took second place in the Open category.
Anna Szczęsna won the bronze medal in the Woman Senior Standard category.
As a team, our ladies consisting of Gabriela Helbin, Małgorzata Murzydło, Aneta Bocheńska, Małgorzata Ajmocka won a silver medal in the Standard category.
Our men team, consisting of Bartosz Szczęsny, Szymon Mikeska, Maciej Podsiadło, Bartosz Staszczyk, won the bronze medal in the Classic category.
And the team in the Open category consisting of Dawid Chojnowski, Marcin Wojcieszek, Adrian Samson, Rafał Pojda took second place.
Several judges from Poland also appeared at the competition.
