Bushmaster Firearms, a brand with a rich history, celebrates its 50th anniversary. To commemorate this event, the company has released the Anniversary Edition XM15A2 rifle, which pays tribute to the heritage and history of Bushmaster Firearms.
The XM15A2 is a throwback to the simpler days of Bushmaster designs. Having classic features from the brand's history, including a fixed A2 transport handle, a 20-inch phosphate-finished, chrome-plated barrel, a chromed bolt carrier and gas key, a rifle-length gas system, an A2-style grip and built-in 8/3 fixed rear sights.
This rifle is reminiscent of the times when iron sights and fixed carrying handles were standard. Bushmaster has reintroduced phosphate-finished, chrome-plated barrels and bolt carriers to match the durability of the original models made in Windham, Maine.
The XM15A2 is a meticulously designed firearm chambered in 5.56 NATO/.223 REM. It has a 20-inch barrel with a thread pitch of 1/2 x 28 and a twist rate of 1:7. The weapon weighs 3.35 kg without a magazine and has a overall length of 100 cm. The lower receiver of the XM15A2 rifle is made of 7075 aluminum alloy and is decorated with a golden 50th anniversary logo. The type A2 receiver is also made of 7075 aluminum alloy.
The XM15A2 is equipped with an A2 heat shield, an A2 fixed stock, an A2 pistol grip, an A2 muzzle device, and a trigger guard, trigger and safety are compliant with military specifications (MILSPEC).
The rifle comes with three magazines, a commemorative challenge coin and a certificate of authenticity.
