At the already concluded Shot Show 2024, which took place in Las Vegas, FN America, LLC has presented new guns from the FN 509 family, including time-limited color series. In total, the company announced the introduction of 18 new models to the market.
These include, among others - the FN 509 CC Edge XL (a compact gun with a compensator), the FN 509 Fullsize MRD (a gun with a 4.5-inch barrel, factory milled fitted with a red dot sight mount), the FN 509 Compact MRD (a compact version with a quickly detachable compensator and also with room for a red dot sight).
Additionally, barrels of different lengths with a compensator were available, allowing to equip older guns from the series FN 509 with one. Such kits enable quick removal and installation of compensators without the use of tools.
The "tactical" pistol from the FN 502 family that was presented, chambered in .22 LR, can be treated as a curiosity. The example shown is equipped with a sound suppressor and red dot sight.
Moving forward to long guns, one could admire the well-known SCAR, this time presented in the new version chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, which was designated the SCAR 17S DMR. This rifle features premium improvements already known from the SCAR 20S rifle, such as the Geissele Super SCAR two-stage trigger and a "sniper" stock with a wide range of adjustment.
