"Vickers Guide" is a series of richly illustrated albums devoted to iconic weapon series, prepared by Larry Vickers, in cooperation with the publisher and photographer James Rupley. Mott Lake Publishing's books collect information about weapons of a given type in one place, in the form of excellent and detailed photos with descriptions containing the most important information. When preparing subsequent editions, the authors travel around the world, reaching out to weapon manufacturers, experts, collectors and weapons that are not available to the public in order to find appropriate models to document. This was the case, among others, in the process of preparing a two-volume edition devoted to the AK family of weapons. This is how it was and is still being done when working on the new edition, which is being developed with the participation of James Williamson from Teufelshund Tactical and other HK weapons specialists. Therefore, it is undoubtedly a valuable item on a shelf of every gun collector and gun expert, and thanks to the highest quality edition, the authors also advertise the book as a unique element of the interior design of a gun enthusiast's apartment, which cannot be disagreed with.
The new edition of "Vickers Guide" is the third part of the series devoted to the weapons of the German weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch. The previous two volumes were devoted to pistols, SMGs and PDWs. The already announced fourth part will be devoted to modern Heckler & Koch designs. This time, the authors focused on the extensive G3 family and related weapons from that era. The book contains models documented with photos, from the CETME, through prototypes to production models such as the G3, HK32, HK33, G41, HK41, HK53, HK91, HK93, HK21, HK23, HK11, HK13, PSG 1 and MSG 90 and their numerous variants. The book also contains photos of grenade launchers from that period such as the HK69, MZP 1 A1, TGS, and HK79 A1. In total, the upcoming book contains 85 different weapon models described on 464 pages. The expected publication time was announced for autumn this year. Depending on the edition version, prices range from $105 to $195. In Poland, selected titles appear in some stores from time to time in symbolic quantities, but it is possible to order books directly from the "Vickers Guide" website. However, this method incurres quite high shipping costs and customs fees.
