The expert team appointed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Administration continues to work on the proposed changes to the Weapons and Ammunition Act concerning black powder weapons. We will most likely learn about their ideas soon.

The team has been operating since September and includes representatives of the ministry and police officers. The team has been tasked with examining the currently applicable regulations and analyzing threats to public safety and order related to almost unlimited access to historical designs. It can be expected that the ministry will apply for the introduction of further restrictions on access to black powder weapons.

The announcement of an analysis of the situation and possible introduction of changes was made by Minister of Interior Affairs and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak in connection with a series of criminal incidents in which black powder weapons were used, including the murder of police officers.

As soon as the ministry informs about the team's conclusions and whether any recommendations regarding changes to the applicable regulations are submitted to the Polish Sejm, we will inform you about it.
