This year's stand of Vega Force Company, a Taiwanese manufacturer of airsoft replicas, was full of new replicas.
Last year, new replicas based on the designs of the SIG Sauer brand appeared. In addition to the already known Strike Industries SIG P365 replica (Strike Industries SIG P365 replica pre-orders have started), i.e. an offer in the Sub-Compact category, others were also prepared under the Stark Arms brand.
For fans of more classic designs, there is a replica of the Stark Arms SA 226. It is a classic hammer-fired design from the 1980s with an aluminum frame and slide.
This design was widely used by special forces, e.g. Navy Seals and also the Polish Formoza and Grom. The replica's construction uses aluminum in the hammer, trigger, and some parts of the trigger mechanism. There is also steel used in manipulators and the trigger rod. The replica itself will uses the guide-hop system, which allows for pressure adjustment by turning the return spring guide, magazines and internal parts in its own standard.
Inside, there is a characteristic SA/DA (Single Action/Double Action) trigger mechanism, a lockich mechanism of the hammer in 3 positions (low, half cock, full cock) and a functional decocker in the form of a lever placed above the magazine release. Interestingly, Vega Force Company decided to solve one of the problems of the original, specifically the famous drop-test, i.e. an uncontrolled shot when dropping the weapon/replica. This was achieved by further moving the hammer position at half-cock, which is slightly different from the original.
A more modern variant are the Stark Arms SA 320 pistol replicas. These replicas feature a modular trigger assembly that can be quickly replaced. Additionally, there is room to adjust the trigger travel and pull.
For those with smaller hands, new grips with a smaller cross-section have been prepared, with a design based on the original from Wilson Combat. When replacing the grip, you can still use the Guide-Hop system or a fixed outer barrel.
The replicas are already available in stores in the Tactical (with a black grip) and Classic (with a gray grip) variants. Additionally, the Tactical variant will be equipped with a threaded barrel and longer magazines with a larger gas capacity and an increased BB capacity of up to 26 shots.
There was also a replica of the Soviet APS pistol, the release date of which is slowly approaching. Compared to the model presented 2 years ago, the final finish is visible. The replica has a slide made of aluminum with the markings of the firearm manufacturer, a serial number, year of production and firing mode markings.
The replica's grip is made of bakelite, as is the functional stock-holster. The whole thing is feed from a magazine with a capacity of 18 BBs.
The announced availability is around the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year.
Another new product of Soviet orogin that is being worked on is the AK74SU replica, the smaller brother of the already available AV74M model. Soon, a whole series of tactical accessories will also appear, such as the M-LOK handguard, a receiver cover with an integrated rail, or adapters for the stock to the AR-15 guides and rails.
The BCM series replicas have also been refreshed. The BCM Air gas-powered replicas will receive new receivers in the Mk.II standard. This variant can be recognized by a different position of the bolt carrier and a redesigner chamber.
Another new replica is the Taran Tactical Innovation TR-1 rifle, which we have already had the pleasure of writing about (AEG TR-1 TTI Ultralight replica by Vega Force Company).
There was also the latest announcement from the MOA trade fair, the Maxim Defense replica series, which are to appear in the third quarter of 2025. As we learned at the stand, the trigger mechanisms will be interchangeable between the PCC and 556 variants, and the internal parts in the form of nozzles and bolt carriers will remain different. For the replica of the 9 mm variant fed from Glock standard magazines, a bolt carrier made entirely of steel has been prepared.
The 556 variant (still in development) has an aluminum bolt carrier, but a steel one will most likely appear as well.
The AEG MDX 510 and PDX SD variants will be equipped with Avalon series gearboxes with additional Aster systems from the Polish company GateEnterprise.
We also took a look at the new variant of the FN FAL rifle replica. The FN LAR OSW model went on sale at the beginning of February. Compared to the classic FN LAR model, in addition to the change in the length of the barrel and stock and the introduction of the M-LOK handguard, the bolt carrier has been changed.
The trigger chamber has undergone minor changes, with the stripping lever changed to a horizontal one and a more modern pistol grip installed. The receiver cover with a top rail is completely new.
