SIG Sauer sights have quite a diverse range. From the more classic Romeo5 and Romeo4 models with a round aperture, through the Romeo8 with a rather boxy appearance reminiscent of Eotech or the innovative Romeo9T model with two individual reticles. SIG Sauer still finds room for innovation, as evidenced by the new Romeo8T AMR model with a a magnifier.
Even the basic Romeo8T model offers 4 variants of the reticles, but when using a magnifier, additional elements may distract or obscure the target.
The new AMR variant, in addition to visual changes, introduces the function of automatic switching between individual reticles when detecting the magnifier, thanks to which one can use fast aiming with the help of a dot and a circle during dynamic shooting and more precise ballistic drop reticle when using a magnifier. The changes also concern brightness levels. The whole thing is based on detecting a magnet mounted in the Juliet3T AMR magnifier and can limit the (maximum) distance between these elements. The announced prices for the new Romeo8T AMR and Juliet3T AMR models are 700 USD for the red dot sight and 400 USD for the magnifier. In the future, this solution is also to appear in other models.
