In Poland, indirect supervision over sports shooting is carried out by the Ministry of SportandTourism, which is the supervisory body of the Polish Sports Shooting Association (pol. PZSS). After the recent changes in the regulations of the PZSS, which caused controversy, some comments were submitted by shooting community. The end result was the initiation of supervisory proceedings, as a result of which an official statement from the Ministry was issued on May 22. It provides information on the repeal of the act of the Board of the Polish Sports Shooting Association27/2025 of March 26, 2025, which is in conflict with the national sports act (Article 22, paragraph 1, point 2): "If the activities of the authorities of a Polish sports association violate the law, provisions of the statute or provisions of the regulations of this association, the minister responsible for physical culture, depending on the degree of irregularities found, is entitled to (...) repeal the decision of the authorities of the Polish sports association."
The same doubts were previously raised by the changes in the points on obtaining a shooting license, joining and leaving the PZSS and the Board of Judges.
