We now know more details about the changes to the Polish Firearms and Ammunition Act proposed by the MPs of the Polska 2050 party. The full text of the proposed bill can be found on the Polish Sejm website under this link. In short, the MPs took the previous draft of the changes, which only proposed periodic medical checks for holders of hunting permits, and extended it to include holders of sporting and training permits. The explanation for why they did not include holders of permits for historical reenactment, collecting, and memorabilia purposes demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the subject the MPs are trying to intervene in. From the justification text, it is clear that the MPs do not realize that holders of such permits actually possess... fully legal firearms.
The Frag Out! magazine closely examined the proposals, and the lack of logic in these proposals is thoroughly explained in this video.
We remind you that there are ongoing public consultations regarding the changes to the law, and there is an opportunity to express your opinion. The form for submitting comments on the changes is available on the Sejm website.
