Next year, another edition of the Light Infantry competition will take place, but this time it will be truly special. The year 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of the event. Did you know that Light Infantry has been running for so long?
This year, the event received a dedicated website, where anyone interested can find information about the upcoming edition and previous ones – rules, photos, registration.
Traditionally, the Light Infantry will be held at the Podwórze Koguta shooting range of the Klub Strzelających Inaczej and its surrounding area. In autumn 2025, the range underwent a major renovation that changed the size and layout of the shooting lanes, so even event veterans will be surprised.

It is worth mentioning that since 2021 WMASG and Shooting Media have been permanent partners of the event, supporting it with their media coverage, and we hope it will remain this way until the very end of its existence.
This time, the organizers decided to increase the number of categories and events so participants can match them to their capabilities and equipment. The following categories will be held:

4 July 2026 (Saturday)
Blitz / Solo – a small, short 9-hour competition including 16 daytime shooting stages and 10 navigation points, as well as tactical tasks. You may participate in a pair or solo.
Retro and Retro Solo – similar to Blitz, but with historical equipment and weapons (up to 1945) – details in the event rules. You may participate in a pair or solo.
Registration opens on 21 December (Sunday) at 20:00.

10–11 July 2026 (Friday–Saturday)
Lighter Infantry – a 14-hour competition including 20 daytime shooting stages and 20 navigation points, as well as tactical tasks.
