As we already mentioned in our announcement of the 2025 MOA EXPO, this year for the first time it is preceded by the Range Day event – an opportunity intended exclusively for industry professionals to get hands-on experience with airsoft equipment from selected manufacturers. We had the opportunity to take part in this initiative.
As a pilot edition, the 2025 MOA Range Day did not occupy a large area. The entire hall was divided into small sections for brands such as VFC, Hwasan Airsoft, Northeast Manufacturer, Bolt Airsoft, Specna Arms, Archwick, and Action! Airsoft Online Store. A separate shooting lane was organized for the practical part. Although it was only about 15 meters long – which did not allow for a detailed verification of the performance of the showcased replicas – the prepared stations were more than sufficient to check whether the replicas (mostly operating in GBB/GBBR systems) ran smoothly and reliably.
Among the models available for testing, we were particularly interested in the pistols released a few months ago by Hwasan Airsoft – including a Hi-Capa based on numerous TM system components, a variant of the Colt 1911 model, and a Beretta 92 offering two fire modes: semi-automatic and full-auto/semi-automatic.
At the same booth, one could also see a new PCC-style gas-powered replica from Double Eagle (licensed by Daniel Defense), as well as another very promising novelty: a fully steel GBBR replica of the Chinese Type 56 carbine, produced by AKRIVA, featuring wooden furniture and interesting internal construction solutions.
Northeast Manufacturer showcased their Mini UZI equipped with mounting rails for optics and accessories. These components are expected to reach the market before the end of the year, although their final appearance will differ slightly from what was presented during Range Day.
We also had the chance to fire several dozen shots from Archwick replicas from the B&T APC9 family – including the HPA version.
At the Bolt Airsoft booth, the greatest attention was drawn by AR-15 family GBBR replicas using the manufacturer’s MAS system.
Right next to them, visitors could also see well-known products from Specna Arms in action and check for themselves why they enjoy such popularity in their category.
Another pleasant experience was testing replicas from VFC, including the fresh AKS-74U GBBR (marked as AVS-74U), which we recently covered on our website.
For dessert – apart from the tasty snacks in the conference room – new products were waiting at the booth of the Action! Airsoft Online Store. A rarely seen replica of the South Korean Daewoo K2, made by the Taiwanese company Marksman, was displayed in two versions: one with a stock and a modified one. The latter clearly suggests a high compatibility of external parts with those of the real firearm. The exhibition also featured the GBBR APFG M7, from which it was truly difficult to take one's eyes off.
Recently, thanks to Action! Airsoft Online Store, a modest teaser titled "MARKSMAN XII" appeared online. We now know that it deal with the Mk12 Mod0 Gen2 GBBR replica, one of whose most interesting features is a handguard made of carbon fiber. We should learn more details tomorrow.
The 2025 MOA Range Day event has come to an end, but most of the excitement is still ahead of us! Tomorrow, the main part of the fair – the 2025 MOA EXPO – begins at the Taipei World Trade Center. The event will start around 10:00 a.m. local time (3:00 a.m. in Poland), and as usual, we will be busy gathering information for you.
