At SHOT Show 2026, the Israeli company CAA once again reminded the industry of its presence by unveiling a new iteration of its popular MCK conversion kit. The MCK EVO Conversion Kit is an evolution of a well-known concept that allows a duty or sporting pistol to be transformed into a compact carbine in moments, offering improved ergonomics, stability, and expanded accessory mounting options.

One of the strongest advantages of the EVO remains its broad compatibility. The manufacturer declares support for most popular handgun platforms – from Glocks, through Taurus, Springfield, and Canik models, to pistols from CZ, Smith & Wesson, SIG Sauer, H&K, PSA, and Ruger. This is a clear signal that CAA is targeting not only the American market but also users operating a highly diverse range of firearms.

From a design standpoint, the MCK EVO offers everything expected from a modern conversion kit. An integrated rail system allows for mounting of red dot sights, magnifiers, and tactical accessories. The ambidextrous AR-style charging handle significantly improves ergonomics, especially for shooters accustomed to the AR-15 platform. The setup is complemented by a side-folding stock, making transport easier and enhancing handling in confined spaces. An interesting and practical addition is the spare magazine holder integrated into the front grip, increasing the system’s self-sufficiency without the need for additional tactical gear.

The base version of the MCK EVO has been priced at $330 during the preorder phase, with the manufacturer announcement that shipments will begin as early as February. For more demanding users, an additional accessory package priced at $220 is also available. It includes folding iron sights, ambidextrous thumb rests, a 500-lumen weapon light, a QD-attachment sling, and an adjustable cheek riser for the stock.
