ERATAC is a brand owned by the German company Recknagel, which specializes in manufacturing mounting systems and accessories for firearms. The company's product range includes scope and red dot mounts, Picatinny rails, and solutions intended for civilian, sporting, hunting and professional users. The company is headquartered in Bergrheinfeld, Bavaria, and its history dates back to 1867. The ERATAC brand, established in 2010, focuses on tactical-oriented solutions. One of the newest products in this segment is the T7 Block Mount, unveiled at Enforce Tac 2026. The family includes short and extended mounts, with selected models already available from Hubertus Pro.
The T7 is a new one-piece scope mount (Blockmontage) in which ERATAC has incorporated specially developed inserts using ERA Grip technology. These allow a scope to be mounted without adhesive and without the need for high tightening torques. According to the manufacturer, the solution provides secure retention of the scope when subjected to high recoil forces.
The design uses hinged ring caps that employ a belt-clamping principle. This solution is intended to be gentler on the scope tube, which may be particularly important for models with thin main tubes. Several ramps allow the scope to be positioned using a wedge-shaped adjustment element. ERATAC has also permanently laser-engraved the recommended tightening torque values onto the mount, while additional markings on the jaws allow the user to visually check the applied torque even when they do not have a torque wrench at hand. The German manufacturer places particular emphasis on the absence of protruding elements along the entire length of the mount, reducing the risk of snagging on equipment while also making it easier to operate firearms equipped with a protruding charging handle.
One of the most important features of the T7 is the presence of completely new interfaces. Each ring features four self-centering mounting interfaces: at the 3, 9 and 12 o'clock positions, plus an additional interface positioned at a 45-degree angle. The German manufacturer states that they were designed to withstand high loads while increasing the configuration options available for the mount. A range of useful adapters has also been developed for the T7. These include a central Picatinny adapter and laser rangefinder adapters available in 25 mm and 35 mm heights. The manufacturer has also announced central adapters for the Aimpoint ACRO, Aimpoint COA and Trijicon RMR, a side adapter with an angled interface, 6 mm and 12 mm spacers, a mount with a bubble level, a canted aiming mount and a mount for the SG Pulse.
Unfortunately, the new system is not fully backward-compatible. ERATAC explicitly states that the T7 interfaces are not compatible with accessories from the T4 and T5 series. The T7 family comprises two basic versions: a short version and an extended version featuring a cantilever section that moves the scope forward relative to its mounting position on the Picatinny rail. The short version is intended, among other applications, for bolt-action rifles where such forward positioning of the optic is not required. The extended version is primarily designed for AR-15 and AR-10 platforms, which require the scope to be positioned at an appropriate distance from the shooter's eye.
Both versions are available with rings for 30, 34 and 36 mm scope tubes, with either 0 or 20 MOA cant. Depending on the ring diameter, the short versions offer scope centerline heights above the rail of 30, 38 or 48 mm, while the extended versions are available in 38 or 48 mm heights. Not every height is available for every tube diameter. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the short mounts weigh 179–227 g, while the extended versions weigh 203–229 g. The lightest model, the T7013-0015, is designed for a 30 mm tube and provides a scope centerline height of 30 mm with a mount height of 15 mm.
The Hubertus Pro range includes the short T7013-0023 for 30 mm tubes, with a mount height of 23 mm, as well as the T7014-0021 and T7014-0031 for 34 mm tubes, with mount heights of 21 and 31 mm respectively. All three feature 0 MOA cant. The extended versions are represented by the T7023-0023 and T7023-2025, both designed for scopes with 30 mm tubes. The former has a mount height of 23 mm and 0 MOA cant, while the latter has a height of 25 mm and 20 MOA cant.
ERATAC states that the T7's design reduces its weight by up to 40 percent compared with comparable products. The company also reports that the mount has been tested under high rates of fire and with large calibers in demanding conditions.
The German manufacturer's product expansion does not end with the T7. The USL Mount family has been expanded with variants designed for the Aimpoint COA and Shield RMS/SMS. The brochure also lists mounts for Aimpoint MICRO, Aimpoint ACRO, Trijicon RMR and Docter/Noblex red dot sights. Selected models are offered in an extra high version, with an optical axis height of 57.4 mm, allowing for a more upright head position when aiming. The range is complemented by aluminum and steel Picatinny rails for the Mauser M25, as well as mounts for ACRO and COA red dot sights designed for 12 mm and 15 mm prism bases and Suhler Einhakmontage mounting systems. Changes have also been made to the ERATAC STAC1 suppressor, which has received a new interface allowing it to be mounted on an A2 flash hider. According to the manufacturer, the solution allows the suppressor to be securely and concentrically attached in two simple steps. The package of new products is rounded out by accessories for the ERATAC Trigger — new safety shafts designed to work with the original levers from Haenel and H&K, supplied without the levers themselves.
The T7 is a family of tactically oriented mounts aimed at professional users and sport shooters who require secure scope retention and the ability to install additional accessories. Short and extended versions, different ring diameters and a range of heights allow the mount to be tailored to a specific firearm and optic configuration.
