The previous result of the cooperation between WC and Paula Howe is the 5.56 x 45 mm ammunition and the Glock 26 Gen 4 modified by Wilson Combat. This time the choice fell on the 6.5mm Creedmoor ammunition and a weapon is designed to be used at medium and long ranges. According to Wilson Combat, the rifle is to be able to fire effectively at distances up to 1000 m.
The Paul Howe 6.6 Creedmor Rifle, because such a catchy name was given to it, is based on the Wilson Combat WC-10 model with a traditional gas system. The whole is based on a milled upper and lower receiver made of 7075-T6 alloy block and finished with a hand-applied Armor-Tuff coating.
The rifle was equipped with a longitudinally grooved 16 inch/406 mm barrel with increased precision, made of stainless steel and ending with an Accu-Tac flash hider from the Wilson Combat offer. The rifle's gas port is in the mid-length position. The trigger mechanism also comes from WC and is called the Tactical Trigger Unit. The force required to pull the trigger is 2 kilograms. The iron sights boil mounted are a Daniel Defense fixed front sight and the CSAT folding rear sight.
The bolt carrier and the bolt are covered with a nickel-boron coating to reduce friction and protect against corrosion. The stock is called the Wilson Combat brand, but it is also often seen in Diamondback carbines, so you can easily assume that it is a model supplied to Arab or Asian countries. The Bravo Company USA, in turn, provided the pistol grip, which is from the Gunfighter line and has the WC logo. The same applies to the charging handle, which is the BCM Gunfighter. The handguard is a classic aluminum free-floating model with M-LOK ports on seven planes and a top Picatinny rail. Manipulators, apart from the charging handle were placed on one side.
The length of the rifle with the stock fully extended is 960 mm, and the weight is 3740 g. The price suggested by Wilson Combat is 3345 USD. For a small additional fee of 1,475 USD, the rifle will be delivered with a Leupold VX-6HD scope on a Wilson Combat mount, a Streamlight TLR-1HL flashlight and Vicker’s carrying sling.
