The Sentinel and Sentinel Elite designs are based on the AR-15 platform and feature Primary Arms main components and Strike Industries accessories. The plans also include shortened versions in the form of "pistols" with handguard stabilizers to simultaneously meet the needs of the market and silly laws.
The Sentinel Elite semi-automatic rifle is based on a milled upper and lower receiver made of a forged 7075-T6 aluminum block, finished with type 3 anodizing. The barrel is 16-inches long with a universal 1 to 8 twist rate that stabilizes a wide range of bullets well. The powder gas port was placed in the mid-length position, the chamber is .223 Wylde that work well with both .223 Remington and military 5.56 x 45 mm rounds. The barrel ended with the Strike JComp Gen 2 flash hider.
The handguard supplied by Strike Industries is equipped with M-Lok standard mounting ports and a top picatinny rail divided into two sections. The least frequently used area in the middle of the handguard was left without a rail. On the left and right QD sockets for carrying sling swivels were placed. Other components provided by Strike Industries include the trigger guard, the forward assist, the gas block, the pistol grip, safety/selector switches, the stock guide with the stock, as well as the charging handle and the ejection port cover.
The cheaper variant, i.e. the Sentinel rifle, is characterized by a smaller number of SI accessories, a fixed A2 front sight/gas block , a polymer handguard and a barrel with a 1-9 twist rate, favoring heavier bullets. Materials and methods of finishing the barrel and other components are also of worse quality. The cheaper variant is equipped with iron sights. The prices are 750 and 1,150 USD, respectively.
