The Russian design is intended to complement the full-size Udav and Lebedev's pistol models. The weapons is to be sent to FSB and Rosguard officers. The Poloz is a scaled down version of the Udav, meaning it just has a shortened slide and grip. The remaining characteristics of the weapon have been preserved. By the way - both of these models have recently appeared on the Russian civilian market.
Both Poloz and Udav received magazine releases and safety switches on both sides. On both sides of the magazine's floor plate there are cutouts that allow it to be torn out in the event of a serious jam. The lever used to strip the weapon is on the left side of the frame. Under the barrel there is a section of Picatinny rail that allows the attachment of a flashlight or a laser sight. In the front and rear part of the slide there are ribbings that allow for easier charging or checking if the pistol is loaded. The magazines are to have a capacity of 15 or 18 rounds of 9 x 19 mm ammunition.
The guns are based on a trigger module with a polymer frame placed over it, similar to the SIG P250/P320 pistols and their military M17/M18 counterparts, adopted by the US armed forces. This allows for easy reconfiguration of the weapon for different purposes. More details and photos will be available during the Army 2020 trade fair in the last days of August.
