This year's IWA 2022 fair, although with a slightly narrower cast, had a few notable products to show, and one of them, in our subjective opinion, was a product of the local Norlite company from Nuremberg, called the USK-G.
The product was called a conversion kit in the introduction, although it differs from the RONI and similar products, where a plastic receiver is placed on the complete gun, turning the weapon into a design the size of a submachine gun.
Meanwhile, the Norlite USG-K is a complete set of a barrel, a receiver and a stock, in the AR-15 style, therefore a complete upper reciever. To build a full-fledged weapon, one "only" need s a GLOCK pistol frame with a trigger and a magazine.
The weapon was designed for use with a powerful 10mm ammunition in mind but, according to the manufacturer, the main intention is now to produce models powered by 9mm Para ammunition, although there are plans to introduce systems powered by .22 LR, .40S & W, .357 SIG, .45ACP ammunition and the already mentioned 10 mm.
In line with global trends, the top of the weapon features a picatinny rail for mounting optics and M-Lok slots at the top and the sides. The modular structure of the entire platform allows the use of, among other things, detachable AR-type stock guides.
The USK-G is compatible with GLOCK 17/22 and 19/23 Gen 3, 4, 5 pistols and is offered in three versions:
Standard: length 465 mm, weight 2,950 g
Compact: length 420 mm, weight 2,780 g
Sub-Compact: length 380 mm, weight 2,650 g
The configurator on the Norlite website allows one to design the version one wants to receive by oneself.
The price of one of the basic versions is 1,300 euros.
