At the European Games in Wrocław, Poland achieved several successes in sport shooting. Our country was represented by nineteen competitors - eleven men and eight women. In total, almost 400 competitors from Europe took part in shooting sports.
The first success was winning the gold medal on June 22, won by Klaudia Breś from CWZS Zawisza Bydgoszcz club in the 10 m pneumatic pistol, who defeated Camille Jedrzejewski from France in the final with the score of 17:13. The victory is even more charming as Klaudia triumphed on her 29th birthday.
Two days later, on June 24, the Polish women's team in won the bronze medal the 10 m air rifle event. The team consisted of: Aneta Stankiewicz, Julia Piotrowska and Natalia Kochańska. On their way to the podium, the Poles defeated the Hungarian team.
We had to wait two days for our next medal, and on June 26 we could watch how Natalia Kochańska, this time individually, won a silver medal in the women's 50 m rifle three positions. An excellent result also ensured the she qualified for next year's Olympic Games in Paris. Kochańska was in the lead for most of the final, but eventually lost to Jenny Stene from Norway.
Two more days passed and Poles won another model. On June 28, the team consisting of: Klaudia Breś, Joanna Wawrzonowska and Julita Borek won second place in team pistol shooting at 25 m. This time the gold was won by the Ukrainians.
Polish shooters taking part in the PRS competition, which took place in Slovakia a few days ago, can also talk about successes. A team of five went to Polish southern neighbors and we can proudly report that each of them returned with a medal.
