SIG Sauer has released a new generation of Whiskey series hunting scopes, this time marked with the number 4.

The Whiskey 3 line is known for simple and durable scopes at an affordable price, which are popular with outdoor users. The new Whiskey 4 series develops this concept further while introducing more top-shelf features.
Basically, Whiskey 4 scopes use tubes with a diameter of 30 mm, which is larger than the typical 1-inch tubes of the Whiskey 3 line. They add quick external turret adjustments, illuminated reticle options and a removable magnification lever. These changes make the Whiskey 4 line an interesting offer with a slight price increase.

SIG offers Whiskey 4 in three different versions: 5-20x50mm Foreground Reticle (FFP), 4-16x44mm Foreground Reticle and 3-12x44 mm with a reticle in the background (SFP), all with easily accessible ZERO STOP feature.
In addition to the three basic variants, each of them is offered with a standard or illuminated reticle. The FFP scopes use the MOA Milling Hunter 2.0 reticle while the SFPs has a Hellfire reticle. The fourth option is a low-profile SFP 3-12x44 scope with the Quadplex reticle.

All models offer 0.25 MOA adjustment increments.
The addition of a large zoom lever is a nice upgrade over the Whiskey 3 line, but there is a possibility of taking it off if someone thinks that it will get in the way while hunt.

In addition, thanks to the argon filling, each scope in this series is waterproof and anti-fog in accordance with IPX 6 standards and comes with factory-installed lens covers that flip up and down.
