SIG SAUER offers not only new weapon designs, but also optics. The new products that have recently appeared on the market are two red dot sights. The ROMEO 5 Gen.II model has been refreshed and has received a completely new external design.

This includes retractable turrets, a smooth line, and a new, narrower base for improved visibility.

The classic 2 MOA dot in red or green, the MOTAC wake-up system, button control, and high-quality optics are still present. Depending on the color of the reticle, the price is $149.99 or $159.99.

The second, definitely more interesting product is the ROMEO9T.

First presented at ShotShow 2023, this is the first optic to offer two target dots, but in a slightly different version than the Sphur AB (Spuhr Dual Dot Aimpoint Mount). The new red dot sight (not to be confused with a holographic sight) was created for the needs of Special Forces, which use different types of ammunition during operations, which means different points of impact for each of them. The ROMEO9T allows to use a classic green dot with a size of 2.5 MOA and a red reticle with a 1 MOA dot and a 65 MOA ring.

Thanks to the use of two emitters and separate adjustment mechanisms, it is possible to zero each of the points individually.

The reticles can be displayed both simultaneously and individually. There are 15 brightness levels to choose from, 12 of which are for daylight use and 3 are designed to work with night vision. The sight is powered by CR123 batteries and offers 50 thousand hours of operation with a battery and an additional 10 hours without it. The design is available in black or TAN and cost only $3,989.99 at the manufacturer's website.
