Magpul has recently prepared several new products that were developed from its classic ones. This time, the MOE stock line has been expanded with a new Trigger Release model. As the name suggests, the classic locking lever in the stock has been replaced with a side lever that works in a similar way to a trigger (hence the name).
Additionally, to prevent accidental sliding off the guide, the stock is equipped with a lock and an indicator that allows physical confirmation of it being engaged.
According to the manufacturer, this is the lightest stock in it's offer, made of polymers and with a profile very similar to the stocks already offered, which also means that its backwards compatible with parts such as rubber stock pads or QD mounts. There are no QD sockets on the stock itself, however, there are two M-LOK slots (behind the stock pad on each side) that can be a port for a sling or a place to mount a QD socket.
The stocks are now available at the manufacturer's website for 44.95 USD regardless of the selected color version (Black, Dark Earth, Olive Drab Green)
The line of DAKA cases (New Magpul products are coming) has also been expanded, this time receiving soft gun covers. Available in 3 lengths (35, 44 and 53 inches) and also in a pistol version called the DAKA Double Pistole Case for two handguns. This case is designed to work with DAKA cases or be used separately. The long versions offer MOLLE panels to secure a weapon on one side, and a flexible pocket that can hold 6 to 10 AR-15 magazines (depending on the case version), a zipped pocket for documents and a zipped organizer for accessories and tools on the other side.
The pistol variant has two pockets for handguns and a pocket for magazines.
The Grit 600D fabric was used for its production, which is coated with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) on both sides (the whole thing was joined together using RF-welding, that is pressure and electromagnetic waves) providing protection against external conditions.
Other external accessories such as the ID pocket are also attached using RF welding. There are also mounting plates for hanging the cases. All of them are available only in black and are priced at 159.95USD, 189.95USD and 209.95USD, depending on the version.
