S&T has recently expanded its offer with another historical replica (The premiere of the Lee Enfield by from S&T in November; Another replica of the historical rifle by S&T), this time from the Far East. The Type 100 submachine gun is a design developed by the Empire of Greater Japan, and was produced from 1940 in the early 100/40 variant and from 1944 in the late 100/44 variant. In the case of the S&T replica, we are dealing with an early 100/40 variant, which can be recognized by an adjustable rear sight, the presence of a bayonet mount and (which is quite rare for submachine guns) the presence of a folding bipod.

The stock was also made of wood, an element that connoisseurs will certainly appreciate. In addition, the metal elements of the replica were reproduced using steel and aluminum, and a black protective coating was applied.

The replica's mechanism is based on a dedicated gearbox equipped with 7 mm ball bearings, a quick spring replacement, and a short-type motor. The whole thing is to have a muzzle velocity of about 385 FPS. Like the original, the replica has only full-auto firing mode and has all functional manipulators. At the moment, the Type 100/40 replica by S&T is already available at Polish the Taiwangun store for around 311 EUR. Additional dedicated magazines made of steel are sold in a pack of 3 for around 22,5 EUR.
