Vega Force Company can certainly call this year's edition of the MOA fair a success. During the fair, quite a wide range of new products was presented in the form of both gas-powered and AEG replicas.
The group of exact replicas was joined by the PDX SD and MDX 510Maxim Defense carbines, i.e. compact sub-carbines. The replicas will share some internal components with the Avalon line, have factory-fitted Aster systems from the Polish company GATE Enterprise, M-LOK handguards, PDW stocks, and aluminum receivers.
The differences between these models are the length of the inner barrel (250 mm for the MDX 510 and 168 mm for the PDX SD) and the placement of the battery, where in the MDX 510 replica we have to fit it in the small space of the guide, and in the PDX SD we place it in a fairly spacious dummy silencer.
Apart from the AEG variant, only one gas-powered replica of the Maxim Defense design has appeared so far. The MD9 is the smallest variant with an internal barrel only 108 mm long. Like other replicas, it has an M-LOK handguard and a PDW stock, but it uses standard Glock magazines to feed it.
There is also a plan to create a MDX 510 replica in a gas-powered variant using classic AR-15 magazines. The release of the replicas can be expected around April next year.
The premiere of the pistol replicas was also announced. After the Strike Industries SMP replica (Strike Industries SIG P365 replica pre-orders have started), the focus was placed on replicas of other SIG pistols. Vega Force Company, under the Stark Arms brand, has presented such models as the SA 320 with a Wilson Combat grip, flat trigger and a slide adapted for mounting optics.
For fans of more classic and slightly older designs, the SA 226 model was prepared, i.e. a replica of the SIG P226.
From the Walther pistol designs, a licensed PPK-SD replica was presented, i.e. a variant equipped with a thread and an additional silencer that can accommodate a tracer. Unfortunately, this will be a version for the Asian market only.
Additional information has appeared on the subject of replicas that we have already had the opportunity to be presented. The PPSz-41 gas-powered submachine gun replica is set to premiere in April next year. More technical details have also been shared, such as its steel construction, a two-piece drum magazine housing a gas tank, and a polymer cartridge holding 120 rounds.
There have also been announcements of tactical conversions for the recently presented AK74M replica, which is to receive such additions as a tactical M-LOK handguard, a gas tube with a RIS rail, a dust cover with a RIS rail, and folding stock adapters with an AR-15 guide or a rail section.
