The WMASG editorial team visited the booth of the Polish manufacturer GATE Enterprise during this year's IWA 2025 trade fair. GATE is known for its control units such as ASTER and TITAN as well as HPA engines, which you can also read about on our portal—links below the article.
We had the opportunity to see the latest Pulsar D2 from GATE Enterprise, which has now been officially announced. Based on gained experience and airflow analysis in the engine, the Polish manufacturer has decided to improve its highly successful design, the dual-valve HPA Pulsar D engine. The latest version is designed to operate within a very wide pressure range, from 0.5J to 3.6J without the need to change the valve. Additionally, the compression chamber has been redesigned to ensure ideal dosing and stability of the supplied air. Thanks to these innovations, the HPA Pulsar D2 engine is expected to not only increase range but also ensure proper performance at higher ROF. The beta prototype received many positive reviews. The new engine should easily allow adaptation of replicas for both CQB games, where stricter energy limits apply, and forest games, which have more relaxed rules. Additionally, the Pulsar D2 with the installed Titan II system will provide users with a full range of features available with this electronics suite. It's worth mentioning the extensive wireless programming capabilities via the highly intuitive GCS software, as well as the option to install the Tactiker, magazine sensor, and bolt-catch. Just like in the Pulsar D1, the use of this system guarantees easy and hassle-free engine calibration.
Another novelty is the mechanical trigger lock system for sniper rifle replicas. This system is designed to work with both ASTER and TITAN control units. It will consist of a dedicated trigger and a specially designed CNC-machined POM selector plate. The mechanical full-auto lock is a clear nod to airsoft event organizers who require physical lock options for DMR replicas. The cost of this set is expected to range between 250-300 PLN.
The official release date has not yet been announced, but based on our information, the new product should be expected within the next three months, and the Pulsar D2 price should be similar to the D1 engine.
Besides the upcoming new products in GATE Enterprise's offer, we also had the chance to check out already available products. Among them was the brushless intelligent G5 motor with RPM adjustment via the GCS app. The motor is currently available in both long and short versions, with an adjustable range of 10K to 46K RPM. However, to utilize the product’s full potential, the replica must have the ASTER II or TITAN II control system installed. In earlier versions of these systems, the motor will run at a fixed speed of approximately 27.6K RPM without adjustment capabilities.
The booth also featured replicas from the Trinity series, available in both AEG and HPA versions, already equipped with the TITAN II Bluetooth system. Trinity is a result of the collaboration between Arcturus and GATE Enterprise, which has been well received among European customers.
