Hubertus Pro has once again added firearms from the German manufacturer C.G. Haenel to its product lineup. The Warsaw-based distributor now offers several variants of rifles from the CR family, including both the CR223 and the more powerful CR308. The expanded selection also includes several hunting rifles.
The Haenel CR223 and CR308 are modern sporting rifles based on the AR-15 and AR-10 platforms. One of the most distinctive features of these German-made rifles is that, unlike conventional AR-15 designs, they utilize a short-stroke gas piston operating system. Both models are equipped with fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety selector, charging handle, bolt catch, and magazine release. Standard features also include folding backup iron sights, an ergonomic pistol grip, and an adjustable stock that does not interfere with charging handle operation.
The CR223 is chambered in 5.56×45 mm NATO (.223 Remington) and is based on the AR-15/M4 platform. The rifle was developed for the civilian market, although the manufacturer also highlights its adoption by selected military and law enforcement units. Hubertus Pro currently offers several CR223 configurations, primarily differing in barrel length and trigger assembly. The most compact version features a 10.5-inch barrel paired with a short handguard. Additional variants are available with 12.5-inch and 14.5-inch barrels, both fitted with an extended handguard that provides a larger gripping surface and additional space for mounting accessories. For users seeking improved long-range performance, the lineup also includes a version with a 16.65-inch barrel, offered both with the standard trigger and with a factory-installed MATCH trigger designed for greater shooting precision. Unlike the shorter variants, the longest-barreled model is available in two color options: traditional black and Flat Dark Earth (FDE). The rifle incorporates features expected of a modern sporting rifle, including a full-length Picatinny rail along the top of the handguard and M-LOK attachment interfaces on the sides. The handguard can also be removed quickly without tools, simplifying maintenance of the gas piston system.
The semi-automatic rifle lineup at Hubertus Pro is complemented by the Haenel CR308. Chambered in 7.62×51 mm NATO (.308 Winchester), it offers ergonomics similar to the CR223 while featuring dimensions and weight appropriate for the more powerful cartridge. The CR308 retains the key design features of its smaller counterpart, including the short-stroke gas piston system, adjustable stock, fully ambidextrous controls, and an accessory-ready handguard. The version currently available from Hubertus Pro is equipped with a 16.65-inch barrel and comes in black.
The return of Haenel products to the Hubertus Pro catalog also includes several hunting rifle models. The flagship of the lineup is the Haenel NXT, a straight-pull bolt-action rifle designed with a strong emphasis on operational safety. Its action is engineered so that the firing pin is cocked only during the final stage of the bolt handle's forward movement. The rifle also features a clearly marked three-position safety that allows the firearm to be safely unloaded, fired, or fully secured with the bolt locked. Standard equipment includes detachable iron sights and a detachable five-round box magazine that can be locked into the magazine well.
The second new addition in the hunting rifle category is the Haenel Jaeger Evo Composite, a conventional bolt-action rifle built around a similar philosophy of safe operation. It features a three-position safety that enables safe unloading, firing, or securing the rifle. The barrel is threaded with an M15×1 muzzle thread for suppressor installation, while the rifle is fitted with a composite stock featuring an adjustable cheekpiece and interchangeable recoil pads for adjusting the length of pull. Like the NXT, it uses a detachable five-round box magazine that can be locked into place. The handguard is equipped with soft-touch grip panels that enhance control during use.
The most straightforward hunting rifle in the new Hubertus Pro lineup is the Haenel Jaeger TEN. This traditional bolt-action rifle features a Picatinny rail integrated into the receiver, a two-position safety that allows the rifle to be unloaded while on safe, and a detachable four-round box magazine. The entire rifle is housed in a lightweight composite stock.
