Polish Border Guard officers had a choice of two models of new motorcycles. In addition to the already mentioned Honda, the offer also included the supply of Kawasaki KLX230. Ultimately, however, the first brand was chosen. In total, 50 new vehicles will be delivered to the formation, including 40 as part of the basic order and 10 as part of the option. SOKÓŁ Lubelskie Centrum Motocykowe will handle the deliveries. Their value, in total, is estimated at 1,600,000 PLN (about 364,000 EUR).
As required, all motorbikes are to be two-seater and adapted to road and off-road conditions. In addition, each motorcycle will be covered by a minimum two-year warranty, with no limits on kilometers traveled. They are to have four-stroke petrol engines with a capacity of 230-260 cm3, with a power of no less than 14kW. The maximum curb weight should be 160 kg. The gearbox is to be a 5 speed manual design.
The equipment will be delivered to the Nadburzański Border Guard Unit in Chełm.
