WILD2 is a flashlight compatible with the Picatinny rail and the one found under the barrels of Glock pistols. Inforce's product has an aluminum housing and generates a luminous flux of 1,000 lumens with an operating time of up to 1.5 hours. The company describes the new product as the culmination of "years of listening, learning and product development" and as a light that "combines traditional Inforce styling with best-in-class durability, a studied optimal-blend of throw and spill, and convenient activation by users with small and large hands alike." A bold statement.

The housing of the new Inforce WILD2 light is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and has been finished with Type 3 anodizing process. The light is dustproof and waterproof up to 20 meters. Compatibility with Picatinny and Glock rails is achieved thanks to the patented mounting crossbar that needs to be rotated 180 degrees to transition between the two types of rails (a  very cool solution).

At 1,000 lumens, the Inforce WILD2 has a peak beam intensity of 25,000 candela. As Inforce advertises, the flashlight provides a well-defined hotspot with an even spill. WILD2 has a switch on both sides with the same contact as in previous generations. The switches allow to change between continuous, temporary and strobe modes, and also set the flashlight to lock mode. The activation of the various modes is shown in a series of tutorial videos posted on the Inforce website.

The flashlight is powered by two CR123A batteries placed side by side in the housing. To access the battery compartment, one has to unlock it by pressing a button placed within the rail mounting. The button is intentionally difficult to access when the WILD2 is mounted on the gun to prevent unintentional unlocking. The battery compartment flap retracts and pivots on a steel pin allowing battery replacement. Price? 179.99 USD.
