At the recently concluded IWA fair, the German company Norlite has presented its design, which should arouse the interest of fans and owners of CZ pistols. The USK conversion kit will allow to change a pistol into a PCC carbine. According to the manufacturer's representative, the conversion should work properly with models based on the CZ-75, including: CZ-75, CZ SP-01 Shadow and CZ Shadow 2.
Two conversion variants will be created - for right and left-handed shooters. Both will be equipped with a metric thread on the barrel enabling the installation of various muzzle devices by default, and the handguard will be adapted to the M-LOK system. In addition, the order configuration options will include three barrel lengths, three handguard lengths and most likely two stock mounting systems - a MILSPEC tube for AR rifle stocks and a side-folding stock.
Since the design includes a barrel and a bolt (as it is attached to the frame of the weapon), it will take up additional space on the weapons permit in Poland. In this case, Germans will be in a better situation as for them the conversion will not be treated as a separate weapon. Serial production of the conversion kit should start in September.
It is also worth recalling that Norlite has previously constructed a similar conversion kit for Glock pistols - the USK-G, which we wrote about two years ago.
The price of the Norlite USK should be similar to the Glock conversion, i.e. less than €1,500.
