PSO Maskpol S.A., part of the Polish Armament Group, has presented the latest ROCK 3.0 bulletproof vest at MSPO 2024. In addition, a new helmet with the working name HP-06, accessories for the HP-05 and the grand return of the MAPA camouflage in the older color version was announced.
The third edition of this line of individual equipment has been modified in response to comments from users of previous models. This allowed the weight of the full system to be reduced slightly and minor elements to be improved, thus increasing ergonomics.
However, the most important change are the magnetic buckles, which are visible at first glance, and now have a quick release system. It works in two ways, by fully unfastening all the hooks or just one of the sides. It is worth noting that the new buckles work very efficiently, and fastening is convenient and easy.
The manufacturer also assures that it is able to offer three different fastening options, depending on the customer's needs. Additionally, the vest has grown into a full modular system. When fully equipped, we receive comprehensive anti-fragmentation protection for a large area of the body, but as part of the mission needs, we can slim down the whole thing by disconnecting additional ballistic protection.
The manufacturer provides a full range of soft and hard inserts of its own production. However, it is important to note the fact that there is a certain freedom regarding the hard inserts. Thanks to the use of the so-called elevator inside the vest, plates from different manufacturers can be inserted inside, including the SAPI standard ones.
Additional elements protect the shoulders, lower abdomen, lumbar region, nape and neck. A new addition to the set is a belt, which also contains a soft insert that increases the protected surface. It can be used on its own and the set includes harnesses that help keep the carried weight in place. It is worth noting the large use of material such as Curv, which ensures high stiffness of the structure. Additionally, an interesting solution is the possibility of connecting thigh holsters through the bottom. This solution allows the internal belt to be used to attach the mount so that it passes through the external belt without losing the mounting surface.
The backpack has been modernized where grenade pouches have been replaced with a MOLLE-compatible panel, giving freedom in mounting any pouches. Of course, the CURV hard panel for gear shown below is also offered as part of the set.

MSPO 2023: PGZ PSO MASKPOL ROCK 2.0
The MASKPOL S.A. company is constantly trying to meet the needs of its potential customers, as evidenced by the significantly reduced version of the vest with hard inserts, intended for the crews of Abrams tanks.
This vest was created as a result of talks with its potential users, soldiers of the Polish Army. At their express request, a pocket for hard plates was sewn into the vest that contained only soft inserts.
PSO MASKPOL S.A. has had helmets in its offer for many years, which are also part of the equipment of the Polish Army. New elements of additional protection were presented in the form of two ear protectors attached to a universal rail. This is intended to easily increase the protective surface of already available helmets. Additionally, the HP-06 (working name) had a premiere of its own. It differs mainly in the webbing and slightly in the shape of the shell.
MAPA is still alive, and has even made a comeback in the form of implementing the MAPA-A pattern. The PRO version of the uniforms is already available in stores in this color scheme and, more importantly and worth mentioning at the same, it is priced the same as the previous versions in the MAPA-B color scheme. So from this year we have two color schemes to choose from, which fit different seasons. It is clear that the manufacturer is listening to feedback of users who once criticized the flattening of the colors of this camouflage, which was in development for many years. Of course, this had its roots in the offer of MAPA to the Polish Army, but as you can see, this inconvenience has been dealt with. MASKPOL also assures that in addition to uniforms, it will soon be possible to buy a full range of equipment in this camo version at the beginning of next year.
