Magpul - new products at Shot Show 2025

The largest shooting fair in North America, Shot Show 2025 in Las Vegas, is coming soon. It is clearly visible as a large stream of new products is being put on the market. From already presented magazines to the final premieres of new products announced, Magpul has presented a wide range of new stuff.

PMAG 25 ICAR

In the magazine category, the already described variants of 20-round TMAG magazines for the AR-15 platform (Magpul TMAG® 20 AR/M4 GEN M3™ Magazine) have already appeared and new products are still coming. An interesting feature are the new PMAG 25 ICAR magazines, a completely new design with dedicated geometry for 6x38 mm/6mm ARC ammunition.

This problematic caliber unfortunately does not fit as well as the .300 Blackout in standard AR-15 magazines, which puts users in a rather precarious situation. The new PMAG 25 ICAR magazines are based on the 3rd generation of PMAGs with side windows, have a capacity of 25 rounds and are dedicated exclusively to the LWRCI™ Six8™ Surfire lower receiver.

AMAG 21 SG9

In the short guns category, a certain product was refreshed. One of the new features is the AMAG 21 SG9 magazine, made of stainless steel with a capacity of 21 rounds. It will join its smaller brothers, the AMAG series, with a capacity of 15 and 17 rounds.

FDP (Folding Defensive Platform)

A bit of a surprise is the refresh of a premiere that took place over 15 years ago, the FMG (Folding Machine Gun). The design was presented by Magpul during the Shot Show 2008.

Since then, the folding machine gun (since the whole thing was based on the Glock 18C model) has not seen its premiere, but had many imitators. However, in 2025 and thanks to the cooperation between Magpul and Zev Technologies, we got the official premiere of the FDP (Folding Defensive Platform) in a slightly refreshed form.

This time it is a semi-automatic design, with a body made of polymers by Magpul and parts from ZEV Technologies and Magpul. The whole thing will be available in a Carbine (with a fixed stock) and Pistol (with a QD socket and foldable stock) variant, and is to have a top rail and an optional carrying handle that also has rails for mounting accessories such as flashlights.

The FDP platform is scheduled to go on sale in early 2025, at a price of 1699 USD at the official ZEV Technologies website.

MAGPUL / MAZTECH X4 SYSTEM

The final new product to have its premiere is the augmented reality sight in the form of MAGPUL / MAZTECH X4 SYSTEM, which we wrote about over 3 years ago (Augmented Reality by Magpul and Maztech).

A system combining a ballistic computer, sensors, a rangefinder, remote controls and an augmented reality display in front of the optics used and even a system for counting remaining ammunition was announced in 2022. The futuristic result of cooperation between Maztech and Magpul is to increase the probability of hitting a target by calculating ballistic parameters based on available data and presenting them in the form of an aiming point in front of the optics.

The entire system has not yet had an official premiere, only an announcement of its appearance in 2025.

Let's not forget about the new DAKA system bags (Magpul DAKA® Range Bag)

All of these products will certainly appear in our reports from the Shot Show 2025 trade fair, so we encourage you to follow our articles as they appear.
