We are slowly approaching the largest shooting trade show, Shot Show in Las Vegas, and the first announcements have already begun to appear. One of them comes from EOTECH, a manufacturer known for its holographic sights and for developing its own line of LPVO scopes under the VUDU brand.

The entire VUDU scope lineup offers both more classic models in variants with 24 mm, 28 mm, and 50 mm objective lenses, as well as probably the most compact (and distinctive) models with an integrated mount in the ACOG Mini standard. Until now, only the 3-9x32 mm model (EOTECH Vudu® 3-9x32 SFP) was available, and for this year’s Shot Show another model has been prepared: EOTECH Vudu® 4-12x36 mm FFP. What changes have been introduced compared to the previous one?

The compact dimensions have been retained, with the length slightly increased from 172.7 mm to 180.3 mm and the weight minimally increased from 454 g to 479 g, while still using an aircraft-grade aluminum tube and optical elements from Japan.
A major change is the replacement of the crosshair reticle with reference points (HC-1), which had a fairly simple design, with the more advanced MR5 reticle in MRAD and MOA variants. Another change is the placement of the reticle in the first focal plane (FFP), thanks to which its size will always remain relative to any magnification level.

Features such as 10 brightness settings (different from those shown in the images above), the ability to mount the EOTECH EFLX® reflex sight on an additional ring, and the integrated mounting system in the ACOG Mini standard have all been retained.

The technical specifications include a focal length of 61–80 mm (depending on magnification) and a field of view of 8.6 m at x4 magnification and 2.9 m at x12 magnification.
At the moment, the product has appeared on the manufacturer’s website at a price of 1,219 USD for the base version (without the additional reflex sight), and availability has been announced for the second quarter of 2026.
