The rifle barrel ends with a taper-lock enabling repetitive mounting of a silencer without changing the bullet's hit point. Interestingly, the rifle will only appear with two relatively short barrels, 16 and 18 inches long. The aluminum handguard was covered with M-LOK standard mounting points on all eight planes, to increase modularity and reduce weight.
Next is the monolithic receiver connected to the trigger group and magazine slot. The Picatinny rail, which is the basis of mounting optical sights, can be exchanged for models with different inclinations. In the lower part of the receiver/trigger group there is a 2-stage match mechanism with adjustable trigger pull from 1.15 to 2.05 kg. Above, on both sides, in a place characteristic for the AR-15 system, there is a safety lever. The grips are compatible with those made for AR-15 rifles. The magazine latch was placed in the front part of the trigger guard. The magazines are made in the AICS standard, and the rifle come with a single magazine with a capacity of 5 rounds.
The reloading handle is enlarged and lowered to prevent the hand from hitting the optics while reloading. The Cross rifle stock can be folded to the right side of the weapon and is fully adjustable. The side to which it is folded be changed, after loosening a few screws, by flipping the hinge. The user can adjust the length and height of the cheek pad, the height of the stock's rubber butt plate, as well as its angle of inclination towards the weapon's axis. The stock has QD attachment points for carrying sling swivels on both sides.
The .277 SIG Fury round was recently developed by SIG Sauer on the basis of a 6.8 mm caliber hybrid round made for the US Army. It is characterized by a flat trajectory which translates into almost 3 meters less projectile drop at a distance of 900 meters compared to the 6.5 mm Creedmor round. It also has 40% more energy over a distance of 270 m. Release date and price were not given yet and more information will be available in the coming days.
