The characteristic feature of this line is the ability to easily disassemble the suppressors with virtually no tools, which allows easy cleaning. This feature also allows to reduce the number of sections this shortening the its length and reducing its weight, at the expense of the shot noise reduction level.
This can also be used to adapt the suppressor to the length of a barrel. A pistol using a 9x19 mm round not need as large a suppressor as a submachine gun chambered for the same ammunition. The MSRP for one silencer is around 850 USD (770 EUR). They will be released within the next 2-3 months.
The family of printed rifle suppressors includes 5.56x45 mm, .300 Blackout, 7.62x51 mm and 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition variants. They can also be used in weapons firing stronger ammunition in the same caliber, depending on the model. This also dictates the material used as they will be made of steel, titanium or Inconel.
SIG Sauer paid special attention to reducing the amount of powder gases returning to the shooter and causing watery eyes. What's more, SIG Sauer suppressors are supposed to REDUCE the amount of gas and allow comfortable intense firing from a suppressed rifle without side effects.
The prices are not known yet, but they will definitely exceed 1,000 USD (900 EUR). The set will include dedicated muzzle breaks. They will hit the market at the end of summer 2020.
