It is possible that many of you have never heard of the Antreg company, but it is a weapons manufacturer with a long tradition. The roots of this Czech company date back to 1952, and during its history Antreg was part of the state-owned enterprise called Zbrojovka Brno, but in 1992 it became a private, independent weapons manufacturer.
The most important product in Antreg's current offer, promoted at subsequent arms fairs (including Granice, MSPO, and IWA), is the ARS M4s rifle. It is available on the European market and, according to company representatives, has gained recognition not only among the civilian customers, but also in uniformed services, including special forces units.
According to the manufacturer's representative, the ARS M4s is the lightest piston operated AR on the market which, with a weight of 3125 g in the lightest version, may actually be true.
Most of the rifle's parts are manufactured from AW7075-6 aircraft grade aluminum and are hand-fitted. The design uses a Magpul stock and pistol grip, and the rifle is compliant with MIL-SPEC.

What's unusual about the ARS M4s is that the rifle is available in 28 versions. All of them are chambered in .223 Rem/5x56 mm. The rifle comes in five barrel lengths (10.5", 12.5", 14.5", 16.5" and 18"), with the two longest barrels having a twist rate of 1:8, and the shorter barrels a rate of 1:7. The two longest barrels also have a gas vent two inches further from the receiver than the short barrels. Additionally, we can choose between two barrel profile - Strong and Light Weight. There is also a choice of various handguard versions with in various Picatinny M-Lok300 or M-Lok225 configurations. The free floating handguard can be disassembled without using any tools. Two piston versions are available, a standard and sporty one, which reduces the recoil.
In addition, each rifle is equipped with an ambidextrous safety lever (with the ability to select an operating mode between 60 and 90 degrees), an ambidextrous charging handle, an ambidextrous bolt catch, an ambidextrous magazine release, a three-position gas regulator, a bolt assist, and a Lothar Walther barrel.

Such a rifle has appeared at the Light Infantry competition organized by the Klub Strzelących Inaczej in Pomerania, which we covered, where the rifle failed. Antreg sent a new rubber buffer element to the owner for free, although according to the service, the failure was caused by the user who neglected cleaning the rifle for too long and had a very dirty silencer.
