A Polish company BK Precise, specializing in the manufacture of muzzle device, has announced the release of a new suppressor - the PBS. It is modeled after the iconic Soviet PBS-1 suppressor, which is known to every fan of carbines designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov.
The new product is visually very similar to the original, but inside we will find the latest technological solutions. It is made entirely of welded 1.4541 stainless steel refined with titanium. Reduced Back Pressure technology decreases the amount of gases that are returned towards the shooter by 30%. It also uses an innovative system that prevents the silencer from unscrewing on its own.
The silencer was designed with the AK platform in mind. It will be adapted to fire weapons up to 7.62 mm caliber and is also intended to effectively suppress rifles in smaller calibers (5.56 mm).
You can choose between versions screwed directly onto the barrel thread or, in the future, also onto BK Precise muzzle brakes with the TAPLOCK QD system.
Currently, intensive tests of the prototype, which could be seen at the picnic organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Kolba.pl store and at the last Light Infantry competition, are coming to an end.
