American firearms accessory manufacturer XS Sights unveiled two new products this month aimed at different groups of handgun owners. The company has expanded its popular R3D 2.0 Night Sights lineup with a version designed for the Palmetto State Armory Dagger Micro pistol, while simultaneously introducing its first-ever fiber optic sight set for Smith & Wesson revolvers from the J-Frame, K-Frame, and L-Frame families. These new releases demonstrate two different directions in the development of the XS Sights product range. On one hand, the company is responding to the growing popularity of compact everyday carry pistols, while on the other, it is modernizing classic revolvers by incorporating modern sighting solutions designed to improve target acquisition speed.
The XS R3D 2.0 Night Sights for the PSA Dagger Micro were developed specifically for Palmetto State Armory's compact pistol. The handgun has become one of the key competitors in the slimline pistol segment, alongside models such as the Glock 43X and Glock 48, making the availability of dedicated sights an attractive upgrade for owners without requiring components intended for other platforms. The system retains the signature three-dot configuration characteristic of the R3D 2.0 series. The front sight features a Swiss-made tritium vial surrounded by a proprietary Glow Dot ring, increasing contrast and visibility in daylight. After dark or in low-light conditions, the tritium provides constant illumination without the need for batteries.

The sights manufactured by XS Sights are available with two different front sight colors. One version features a green front sight, while the other uses an orange one. The green option represents the traditional solution found on most tritium sights. The orange version, however, is intended to provide greater contrast for some shooters, particularly when aiming against bright backgrounds or in situations where a green front sight may be less visually distinct. A key feature of the rear sight is its wide notch, allowing the shooter to acquire the front sight more quickly during rapid target presentation. The rear sight also incorporates anti-glare serrations that reduce distracting light reflections and improve sight alignment. The front sight measures approximately 5.5 mm in height and 3.6 mm in width. The rear sight is approximately 8 mm high, with a notch width of about 4 mm. The complete sight set weighs approximately 28 g.
The entire sight set is CNC-machined from steel and finished with a Black Nitride coating to enhance resistance to corrosion and wear. The manufacturer emphasizes that the sights were designed as a durable solution for users who carry the PSA Dagger Micro as an everyday carry handgun. According to XS Sights, the tritium front sight is larger and more visible than conventional tritium inserts found on many competing products. This is intended to help shooters acquire the front sight more quickly and reduce the time required to deliver an accurate shot. The sight set is priced at approximately $128. Although XS Sights does not operate an official store in Poland, its products are available through authorized distributors and importers.
The company's second new release is the first fiber optic sight set ever offered by XS Sights for Smith & Wesson revolvers. The sights were designed for the popular J-, K-, and L-Frame platforms. These frame sizes include well-known revolvers such as the Smith & Wesson 586, 686, 625, and 629. Unlike the previously mentioned tritium sights, which excel in low-light conditions, the new fiber optic sights are primarily intended to improve target acquisition speed during daylight shooting.

The fiber optic insert uses available ambient light to create an exceptionally bright aiming point. This type of solution is particularly popular among competitive shooters and users who engage targets quickly at short distances. The front sight has been designed for simplified installation and comes equipped with a green fiber optic insert. The kit also includes a replaceable orange insert, allowing users to choose the color that best suits their eyesight and shooting conditions.
The sights are manufactured from steel and utilize pre-drilled technology, meaning the components are factory-prepared for installation. This minimizes the need for modifications to the firearm itself. Manufactured in the United States, the sights were designed to withstand intensive use. The new fiber optic sight sets are intended not only for sport and recreational shooting but were developed primarily with everyday carry revolvers in mind. Thanks to their brighter aiming point, they provide an attractive alternative to the standard steel front sights factory-installed on many Smith & Wesson revolvers.
Both product launches demonstrate one thing: XS Sights continues to focus on modernizing traditional sighting systems and adapting them to the needs of today's shooters. The R3D 2.0 was designed to provide reliable sight acquisition both day and night, while the new sights for Smith & Wesson revolvers prioritize maximum speed and visibility in bright conditions. Together, these two releases further strengthen XS Sights' position as one of the leading manufacturers of aftermarket iron sights for handguns.
