The first and only gun from the Meister Manufactory line so far was the richly decorated pneumatic sports LP 500 model. Walther decided to take a big step by completing the family with five varieties of richly decorated Q5 Match SF (Steel Frame) pistols in one go. The standard model premiered at the IWA Outdoor Classics fair in Nuremberg in 2019. It cannot be overstated that the Meister Manufaktur pistols are aimed at clients who do not look at the price tag as the prices range from 2,699 to 3,999 USD for a weapon from which one would think twice before ever firing from it. With one exception.
Particularly noteworthy is the Arabesque model covered on its entire surface with rich engravings with 24-carat gold spots and Caucasian walnut pistol grip panels. The engravings were made by the Italian artist, Dario Cortini. Then the surface was nitrided and finally polished. The designers have not forgotten that the gun should not be just a decoration and decided to improve the trigger mechanism with the Dynamic Performance Trigger with reduced travel and reset. The trigger is completely flat, except for the presence of a safety feature known from Glock pistols, and the resistance of the mechanism is 2.5 kg. This is the exception mentioned earlier, which is priced at 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS.
The variant under the name Patriot was also engraved by an Italian master, this time by Bottega Giovanelli. The slide and the stainless steel frame were nitrided and then polished in the same way as in the case of the model described above. The trigger mechanism is also the same. The Patriot received a single-piece aluminum pistol grip cover, anodized in black and covered with a dense texture. Price? Only 3,999 USD.
The Black Diamond version was nitrided, then coated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) and polished to give a unique effect in the form of gold/copper/brown color. The same trigger mechanism was used, but the magwell facilitating reloading was abandoned. Like the Patriot model, the the grip panel was milled from a single piece of aircraft grade aluminum and anodized, this time in brown. The price is 2,999 USD.
The proposal under the name Black Tie seems to be the least eye-catching and focused on utility. The nitrided and then Stinox coated gun is devoid of any engraving or eye-catching aesthetic treatments. The button responsible for releasing the magazine was enlarged, the same grip panel was used, as well as the same trigger. The cheapest varieties of Walther Q5 Match SF Meister Manufaktur costs 2,699 USD.
